Terms and conditions of sale

These terms and conditions apply to all bookings made through our website, including campsites, rooms and other services related to stays at Camp Mefjord. By making a booking, you accept these terms and conditions. The terms are in accordance with Norwegian consumer legislation as well as guidelines from Vipps and Klarna where this is used.

1. Information about us

Camp Mefjord offers campsites, accommodation and related services at Mefjordvær on Senja in Norway. Information about facilities and booking solution can be found on our website. 

2. Conclusion of the agreement

A binding agreement is entered into when you have completed the booking and receive a confirmation via e-mail and/or SMS. We reserve the right to reject or cancel bookings in the event of errors in price, capacity or other circumstances beyond our control. Any payments made will then be refunded.

3. Prices and payment

All prices are quoted in Norwegian Kroner (NOK) and include VAT where applicable. The price shown at the time of booking is the current price.

Payment methods:

  • Vipps and MobilePay
  • Klarna (invoice, partial payment, direct payment)
  • Credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard)
  • Bank transfer by special agreement

Payment is made at the time of booking, unless otherwise agreed. When using third-party payment services, their terms and conditions apply in addition to ours.

4. Completion of the stay

The booking is valid for the agreed date, time and type of space/room. It is the customer's responsibility to familiarize themselves with the facilities and requirements that apply to the selected space or room before arrival.

For campsites, this means, among other things, that you show up at the agreed time, have the necessary equipment available and follow the applicable rules for use of the area and common facilities. 

5. Cancellation and changes

Cancellation or change of booking must be made in writing.

  • Cancellation until 48 hours before agreed arrival date: full refund
  • Cancellation less than 48 hours before agreed arrival date: no refund
  • Non-attendance without cancellation is considered canceled and will not be refunded

These rules may be adjusted for promotions and seasonal offers - specified in the booking confirmation.

6. Right of withdrawal

The right of withdrawal does not apply to fixed-term stays and camping/overnight services, cf. Section 22(m) of the Cancellation Act.

7. Complaints.

If the service or stay deviates significantly from what has been agreed, you have the right to complain within a reasonable time. Complaints must be reported as soon as the deviation is discovered.

8. Privacy policy

We process personal data in accordance with applicable data protection legislation (GDPR). See our privacy policy for more information. When using third-party payment services, their privacy policies also apply.

9. Right of appeal

If you are dissatisfied with your experience or service, please contact us directly. You can also complain to the Norwegian Consumer Authority or use relevant complaint portals for services in Norway.
